About Ayyappa Samaaj AZ
Ayyappa Samaaj AZ is a virtual organization that was formed in 2009 by a group of active devotees of Lord Ayyappa in the Arizona Metro Area. We started by conducting monthly bhajans at devotees residences on second saturday's of each month.
The first Grand Ayyappa Pooja Celebration was organized by the Ayyappa Samaaj on December 17, 2011 at Sri Venkata Krishna Kshetra, Tempe, AZ. The event was a huge success with a participation 700 plus devotees.
The purpose & Goal of Ayyappa Samaj is to:
Growing Our Community
To grow the number of Ayyappa devotees to whom we provide religious services by at least 10% every year.
Promoting Awareness
Promote the awareness of Lord Ayyappa and deities associated with Lord Ayyappa to the community.
Organizing Events
Organize spiritual events as well as religious events that are associated with the worship of Lord Ayyappa and associated deities.
Community Assistance
Provide assistance to other communities (local and worldwide) in the area of human, religious and community assistance services.
